Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis is more common among female adolescents. Early detection can be treated with observation or bracing. Failure of bracing necessitates surgical correction of the scolisis curve. Failure of treatment can lead to lung and heart ailment.
With the advances in neuromonitoring and imaging, this surgery has become safe. This patient presented with double thoracic scolisis curve with the major thoracic curve measuring 74 degrees. She underwent posterior instrumentation and scoliosis correction safely and happy with her new appearance.
